Hi, I was trying this recipe today, but I have encountered the same problem twice. The butter absorbs all the sugar and the sugar solidifies and is not melting:( Any tips? I am making this now and I have guests coming in a few hours. Thanks, Elizabeth

I looked it up online, and it was my bad. I stirred the sugar and hence the result. Therefore I did it again and it was delicious. I made it 3 times in 2 months. I had an obsession. Will do it again soon for a nice group I am attending. Thanks for the recipe.

Didn't have round pan the first time around, but definitely want to try again with a round pan to get a thicker cake.

Hello yesterday I've tried the recipe and it turned out delicious but my dough didn't rise and I don't know why :( Maybe It's because the pan I've used is not deep enough or that my egg whites weren't as white and creamy I don't know :(
